Donna Huong Vu

Zachary Richard Cox

Wedding Party

Dina Vu

Maid of Honor

"Dina was the obvious choice for Maid of Honor, but does she have the skills to fill the position? Ability to plan? Check. Keep the bridesmaids in line? Check. Good in pressure situations? Check. Can hold a dress train? Check. Aside from these skills, Dina is a frisbee-throwing, fried chicken-eating, computer-coding fish momma (not anymore...RIP Rufus). But most importantly, she is Donna's sister. Even though they are quite different, I have personally seen Donna and Dina grow closer and closer as sisters in the past 6 years. Whether it's wine nights watching The Bachelor or grabbing dim sum on Sunday mornings, these two have transformed from just sisters to best friends. I am excited to have my first sister (in-law), especially someone like Dina who I know to be extremely loyal and caring to her siblings. I know Donna is ecstatic to have Dina standing by her side and I am confident in her abilities to serve as Maid of Honor, now get this girl a cheese curd!" -ZC

Adam Cox

Best Man

"Adam has always been known for being exceptional. Whether it be academics or extracurriculars or his career, he has excelled at every stage in life. However, after getting to know him over the last five years, I've learned Adam's greatest accomplishment by far is being the most incredible big brother to Zack. He is funny and loving and someone Zack has always been able to turn to for guidance in all situations. Although grown and living miles away from one another, it takes mere seconds for them upon reuniting to fall back into their mischievous ways, making their parents laugh endlessly and bringing joy to everyone around them. There's no one Zack would rather have by his side on his wedding day (besides me, of course)" -DV

Madelyn Ong

"As one of the only members of this wedding party that knew Donna before I met her, Wichita-native Maddie Ong has been integral in letting me know what I am getting myself into. She may be the smallest one in the party, but don't be surprised when this girl steals your hors d'oeuvres and finishes what you can't eat of your entrée. Where does the food go? I don't know...but what I do know is that Maddie has stuck around with Donna for a long time, and her stamp of approval means a great deal to me. I look forward to Mads posting some fiery Instagram pics of the wedding, let's just hope she doesn't break our catering budget" -ZC

David Vu

"As his eldest sister, I could not be prouder of the man David has become. As a senior at KU, David has grown into a successful, hardworking individual who has traveled all over the world. However, what I'm most proud of is his kind heart and willingness to always love without reservation or hesitation. It's such a unique quality found in so few people and something David does so well. Growing up as the youngest boy with two older sisters, David has always hoped to one day have a brother. Over the last five years, it's been such a joy for me to see two of the most influential men in my life form such an incredible bond; I look forward to seeing this relationship grow throughout the many years ahead" -DV

Audrey Vu

"An honorary third member of Donna and I's relationship, Audrey has lived with Donna for several years, so she has an insider's perspective on Donna and me. She is probably thrilled to see us get married, Donna move out, and for us to get out of her hair, but I hope that doesn't completely happen. Audrey has been an amazing friend to Donna, to me, and to us together, so we are excited to have her in the wedding party and to continue to have her as a part of our lives. Love will be in the air on August 3rd, so hopefully as a thank you, we can help Audrey one final time (guys, she's single...for now)" -ZC

Dan Babiak

"Beers, buds and belly bongos are all words that come to mind when I think of Dan Babiak. As the eighth wonder of the world, he's always got us guessing as to how he went from lax playing, beer crushing freshman year Dan to successful, Wall Street, finance guy Daniel. As one of Zack's closest friends and former roommates from ND, Dan is always someone you can count on for a good time and lots of laughs. I can't wait to see what sort of shenanigans he gets himself into at our wedding while trying not to drop that thun thun" -DV

Leah Procopi

"We met Leah only about a year ago, but she has quickly turned into one of our best friends in Chicago. A fellow Abbott employee with Donna, UVA grad, and fun-time expert, Leah will surely bring the "party" to the wedding party. But don't let the good times fool you, she has the intelligence to match. Her free spirit and kind heart matched with her ability to have fun in any situation makes her a force to be reckoned with. So, whether she's tearing up the dance floor, or chatting up a stranger at the bar, this spitfire will definitely make a terrific addition to the wedding" -ZC

Ryan Bonner

"Keep an eye out for this one on August 3rd. Not only because he's going to look dashingly handsome as a member of the wedding party, but also because there's a 100% chance he'll get lost at some point in the night. A fellow ND alum and one of Zack's senior year roommates, Ryan and I met our freshman year at Notre Dame. With long flowy hair and ears adorned with diamond studs the size of my fist, it would've been easy to write him off as a total tool. However, over the years I've gotten to spend a lot of time with Ryan, meet his incredible family, and see the kindness and loyalty he's shown his friends. With a fresh haircut and stud-free ears, you can find Ryan turning up at the reception, throwin back some (a lot of) brews and sending more snapchats than you can count" - DV

Emma Cooper

"Emma Cooper brings the best of two worlds together: class meets sass, brains meets booze, Steely Dan meets Migos, maternal instinct meets ayy mami, cat lady meets she-wolf, and social responsibility meets twerking at the club. She brings all this together to make an amazing person, and an even better friend who has supported our relationship from the beginning. Emma is a girl next door with a killer instinct; hopefully she can give this wedding party a little responsibility (but not too much)" -ZC

Brent Jordan

"As someone who has had to put up with living with AT for 4 years, Brent is extremely patient and as loyal as they come. Having met Brent his very first day at Notre Dame, I knew right away him and Zack were destined to become the best of friends. They have many shared qualities, sometimes I swear they're twins. Over the last 5 years I've gotten to see Brent and Zack's friendship grow to what it is today and now that Brent has recently moved to Chicago(!) with his equally amazing gf Steph, I look forward to seeing their friendship continue on as they go from dorm parties to business happy hours" -DV

Taylor Weston

"Taylor has been working the past couple years in China, but we are looking forward to her making her triumphant return to the States in time for the wedding and, most importantly, the bachelorette party! Sometimes I think Taylor is only friends with me so she can steal Donna from me someday, but hopefully the engagement keeps her away. I know she is excited to show Donna one last ratchet good time before settling down with me, but we are even more excited to have this Flyin' Hawaiian back in America so we can see her a lot more often" -ZC

Andrew Thomas

"I don't know if he is drawn to the attention, or if the attention is drawn to him. Regardless, there he will stand as the center of attention at the wedding. With a personality bigger than his home state of Texas, Andrew "AT" Thomas can command a room like nobody's business. The only thing as big as his personality is his heart. AT is one of the most genuine people I have ever met, and it helps that I can't stop laughing with him...or maybe at him. I can't wait for him to move to Chicago so we can laugh even more, I just hope he can keep the tequila shots away from Zack this time" -DV

Shannon Martin

"You may ask yourself at the wedding, 'who's that girl flailing her arms on the dance floor?" Well that's Shannon Martin, and she's dancing like nobody's watching. We only met Shannon during senior year when she started dating Blaise (next), but she quickly carved out a spot in the friend group with her fun spirit, devoted friendship, and obvious dance skills. After 2+ years, Donna and Shannon traded in their shot glasses for wine glasses, and can be seen on any given night gossiping in their apartments that are a block apart. Don't be afraid to join Shan on the dance floor August 3rd, she doesn't bite!" -ZC

Blaise Inman

"Blaise 'I-Never-Know-How-to-Smile-in-Photos' Inman is a narcoleptic Notre Dame alum, newly established Texas resident, and the sweetest guy you'll ever meet. I've been lucky enough to get to know Blaise over the last 6 years and despite him mainly speaking in made-up phrases (This isn't Russia) and song lyrics (21, 21), I can tell you he is one of the most incredible people I know. As a devoted uncle, amazing big brother, and one of Zack's closest friends from ND, Blaise will have you beat in a Nice Guys competition 10 times out of 10. If you're looking for some great laughs and a good time at the wedding, definitely stop by and say hello to Blaise. And for Shannon's sake, please bring him a Red Bull while you're at it" -DV

Scott Stieritz

"In North Philadelphia, born and raised, on the playground is where Scott Stieritz first developed the fundamentals that got him to where he is today: How to shoot a proper free throw. How to study until 6am. How to rock a 3-button suit. Even though his skills are developed from proper form, his humor is derived from chaos, making him one of the funniest and weirdest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. This lethal combination of form and chaos has made Scott one of my best friends through 4 years of college, and a perfect candidate for the role of usher on our wedding day" -ZC

Justin Witte

"As a freshman, Witte broke the world record for speaking the least amount of words in one year. Then suddenly, he was reborn like a phoenix and I have witnessed firsthand this blonde haired, yoked kid from STL, go from being a quiet Stanford freshman to one of the most hilarious people I know. As one of Zack's junior year "side room" roommates, Witte and Zack got to share some questionably intimate moments which have now transformed into an incredible friendship that will withstand the test of time. Now all we need is for Jackie to tell him to move to Chicago with us so we can all live happily ever after" -DV

Peter McGrane

"How does a Minnesota kid who didn't grow up with cable not turn out super weird? Peter McGrane is a mold-breaking, ping-pong-smashing, chemical engineer who doesn't understand SpongeBob references, but I still love him. His goofy personality only comes second to his sometimes goofy afro, but Peter is one of the nicest human beings on the planet. As a forever roomie, Peter and I have shared some crazy moments together, so I can't wait to add my wedding to that list" -ZC
